If you can-Go!
We’ve done self-guided walking trips with other companies and Slow Adventures is the best by far! Top notch attention to detail, a wonderful host/organizer (yay Margaret!), and just the right amount of walking, eating, and resting. And having the ocean on one side means you don’t get lost!
This hike was my second with Slow Adventures and I did this as a solo walker. I found the experience to be one of the best hikes I’ve had. The directions were detailed and accurate. Even the restrooms are identified. The walk proved to be a mix of easy walking with beautiful views to the more challenging hike over Montera Mountain, also with beautiful views. The final day, along the beach to San Francisco with the sheer cliff on one side and the Pacific on the other is one for the memory books. I cannot recommend this hike highly enough.
“It is really a wonderful product you have put together. I loved the views, the exercise, the eclectic hotels and restaurants. It truly was one of my favorite trips.”
It was the perfect way to see the countryside: an unexpected variety of terrain taken at a great pace. The accommodations were really comfortable, tons of food with lots of choices… And we were prepared for all of this with a surfeit of maps, minutely detailed written instructions, animal guides, admonitions and Crackerjacks. Couldn’t have been easier! Thanks so much.
